EHHV twee dagen gesloten door NSS

De Nuclear Security Summit 2014 (NSS) is een internationale top, met als doel nucleair terrorisme wereldwijd te voorkomen. Vliegveld Hilversum (EHHV) is hierdoor twee dagen geheel gesloten.

Doelstellingen van de NSS zijn: 1. Het verminderen van gevaarlijk nucleair materiaal in de wereld 2. Al het materiaal dat er is nog beter beveiligen 3. Het versterken van de internationale samenwerking.

Op 24 en 25 maart zal het Nederlandse luchtruim met een grote straal rondom Den Haag (maar liefst 50 nautical miles, dat is circa 93 km) nagenoeg gesloten zijn voor luchtverkeer. Vliegveld Hilversum zal volledig gesloten zijn op 24 en 25 maart 2014.

From 23 March 2301 UTC to 25 March 2259 UTC:

• Prohibited for all air traffic, including flights with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) / remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), model aircraft, unmanned free balloons, cable balloons and parachutes.

Exempted are:
• Police and military flights related to security of NSS 2014.
• Exempted, with PPR by Ministry of Infrastructure and the
Environment, are:
• Coast guard flights related to security of NSS 2014.
• HEMS flights.
• SAR flights.
• Scheduled IFR traffic operated by an airline (EXC business aviation).
• State aircraft for NSS 2014.
• Helicopter traffic to and/or from offshore installations on the North Sea on helicopter main routes (HMR), within helicopter traffic zones (HTZ), within helicopter protected zones (HPZ) and between connected HTZ/HPZ (flight plan and two-way radio communication required).
• Traffic for North Sea pilotage to and/or from YPAD and Pistoolhaven to and/or from MCB, RRV, YRV and YUIT (flight plan and two-way radio communication required).
